Zalto Denk'Art Glass
At the forefront of the company philosophy of Zalto Glass is artisanal perfection. The glass artists of the Austrian glass manufacturer create glasses of outstanding quality, aesthetics, and functionality. Zalto glasses have always been crafted by hand. This traditional manual production method requires glassmakers to have a lot of experience, skill, and finesse. Only a few glassblowers around the world are able to create glasses that are as delicate, thin-walled, and perfect as Zalto glasses. Although the glassmakers work with only the simplest tools such as the glassblower's pipe, wooden molds, and templates, they achieve a precision that cannot be achieved even with the most modern technology.
The visionary and legendary wine expert Hans Denk was the inspiration for the Zalto Denk'Art collection. Denk'Art glasses from Zalto are the most successful handmade wine glasses of our time. This fascinating glass series has set standards in international drinking and dining culture. Denk'Art wine glasses put the wine in the spotlight. With their graceful design, incredible lightness, and minimalist design, these glasses respectfully step back and create a stage on which the wine can work and unfold. Denk'Art glasses have become cult objects in the wine world. The Zalto Denk'Art wine glass is celebrated in the Wall Street Journal as one of six products "that cannot be improved upon."
The Denk'Art collection includes glasses for Bordeaux, Burgundy, sweet wine, white wine, beer, water, as well as a digestif glass, a champagne glass, and a so-called universal glass. The glasses are available individually or in sets, each in a gift box. The series is rounded off by variously sized carafes and wine decanters that match the formal design.
The Denk'Art series fulfills all attributes of a modern glass regarding care and durability. Despite their thin walls, Denk'Art glasses are dishwasher safe and characterized by high everyday suitability.
Handcraft and selected raw materials
Craftsmanship perfection is the principle of Zalto Glass. Zalto glasses have always been made of selected raw materials in elaborate traditional craftsmanship. The skill of the glassblowers is pushed to the extreme by the fine design of the glasses. The handcraft reminds of the filigree artistry of Venetian glass artists of the Renaissance.
The comprehensive knowledge of the pastor and wine expert Hans Denk has flowed into the development of the Zalto Denk'Art glasses. With the Denk'Art brand, Zalto honors the mentor of these exceptional glasses accordingly.
"Clear superiority in the development of taste and bouquet, ..." are the advantages that renowned sommeliers and wine connoisseurs attest to the Denk'Art series.
Inspired by the inclination angle of our earth
A cosmic phenomenon inspired the designers of Zalto in the development of the Denk'Art series. The angles of 24°, 48° and 72° used correspond to the inclination angles of our earth.
If one believes the traditions, the ancient Romans had already recognized that these angles brought outstanding properties in the production of storage containers. Food not only stayed fresh longer, but also tasted much better.
The luminaries of Austrian and international wine culture are convinced of Zalto Denk'Art
"The Denk'Art glass is light-footed, very elastic and surprisingly break-resistant despite its almost filigree design. It is also visually very appealing, contemporary and superior to all other glasses in the sum of all properties." Heinz Reitbauer, decorated with 5 toques, patron of "Steirereck" and "Pogusch".
