From HILL to triangle

The company history of the brand triangle dates back to 1946, when Erwin Hill founded the "Hill Metallfabrikation" in the knife city of Solingen. The family business produces so-called wheel snow slingers, and even back then, sustainability was a key factor in production. Hill products are characterized by high functionality, very good, solid quality, and their timeless design. These guiding principles still shape the company's brand philosophy today.

In 1972, Peter Kelch, the son-in-law of Erwin Hill, took over the business together with his wife Ursula. In the 1980s, products from Hill, such as mezzalunas and grill skewers, were in high demand. The boom enabled Hill Metallwaren GmbH to purchase a larger production facility on Friedenstraße in Solingen, where the company is still headquartered today.

Peter Kelch's daughter Christine joined the company's management in 2005. Under her leadership, the brand "triangle" was created, which has stood for professional kitchen tools "made in Germany" since its introduction. triangle tools focuses on the needs of professional and hobby chefs in product development and follows the trends of the food industry. This results in the brand's successful product strategy: it relies on classics and basics like peelers and ballers, while also introducing innovative kitchen tools like the tasting spoon with tweezers for food art & carving or the ingenious aroma grater.

The company places great importance on its location in Solingen. triangle tools is proud of its heritage and sees itself as part of a region rich in tradition, renowned for its craftsmanship and the quality of its products for centuries.
