Skeppshult »Traditional« - Cast Iron Pans with Beechwood Handle
Black, heavy cast iron and a wonderfully warm wood tone – that's the Skeppshult »Traditional« series. The handle of this collection is made of solid beech wood from Swedish forests. Wood is an ideal material for pan handles as it insulates heat. Even when frying on a hot stove, the handle remains comfortably cool. However, this series should not be used in the oven as the oven heat would dry out the wood. This collection is also not suitable for open fire or the grill.
Skeppshult cast iron pans and roasters are heavy. Really heavy. Because in the thickness of the material used, cast iron develops its excellent cooking and frying properties. The pans also have a practical cast iron lip as an additional supporting handle.
The bottom of the pans is slightly concave. This slight curvature is precision-milled and is a quality feature of Skeppshult products. When heated, the metal expands and lies flat and securely on the stove.
