The Skeppshult series »Professional« combines the heavy, matte cast iron of the pan with a handle made of shiny stainless steel. A truly stylish material mix, we think. And this stainless steel handle is not only beautiful, it also has a functional feature: Its special characteristic is the ventilation holes, which function as a kind of valve. The heat that develops during frying is not conducted along the handle but can escape through these ventilation holes. The handle does not get hot when cooking on the stove, but only warm to the touch.
Another plus: This pan collection can also be used in the oven, as all materials used are heat-resistant. (Matching glass lids with cast iron handles are suitable for temperatures in the oven up to a maximum of 230°C.)
A so-called cast iron lip on the pan body serves as an additional, supportive handle.
