Peugeot

Peugeot - the name stands for professional kitchen tools under the sign of the lion. Similar to the car brand, mills from Peugeot are synonymous with quality, robustness, and elegance. No wonder, as the Peugeot mills actually belong to the French car company of the same name. What distinguishes mills from Peugeot is - besides the classically beautiful design - the patented construction of the grinding mechanism. Where simple mills and grinders merely crush the contents, the valuable aromatic substances remain in the mill because only the shells leave the mill. Here, the better grinders from Peugeot rely on perfectly tuned precision. For pepper mills, for example, this means that the pepper is first lined up and crushed using larger grooves, and then the actual grinding process begins with smaller grooves. The precious content is therefore not crushed but precisely cut and ground.

Throughout its company history, the brand Peugeot has focused on products for the "Cooking & Enjoyment" sector. The range of Peugeot today includes salt and pepper mills, spice mills, coffee mills, ovenproof ceramic dishes, and more. It is the classic among pepper mills: The pepper mill from Peugeot. Its iconic design is world-renowned. The prototype was designed and built in France as early as 1874. From the beginning, this original has been continuously developed and optimized. Materials and designs have been adapted to changing habits, and the grinding technology has been refined. The original form is still produced and successfully sold today under the collection name "Paris".

In addition to mills for salt, pepper, and coffee, ovenproof ceramics are also part of the product lines of the French company: Under the brand name Appolia, Peugeot offers high-quality ceramic cookware for casseroles, tarts, and quiches. These ovenproof dishes combine perfect usability with an attractive appearance. Appolia ceramics are produced exclusively in France, and thus the items carry the "Origine France" quality seal.

Peugeot is one of the most well-known brands from France worldwide

The company's history dates back to the 19th century and has its roots in steel processing. In 1810, the two brothers Jean Pierre and Jean Frédéric Peugeot converted the mill they inherited from their ancestors into a steel foundry. There, they began manufacturing springs and steel strips. This was followed by products such as saw blades, crinolines, penny-farthings, and coffee mills. A seemingly curious assortment, but even in this early phase, the company was able to distinguish itself through inventiveness, visionary thinking, and engineering skills.

Over time, the brand focused on the fields of table and kitchen culture. The product lines include spice mills, salt and pepper mills, coffee mills, ovenproof ceramics, and much more. Spice mills from Peugeot are appreciated far beyond the borders of France. From their place of origin in the heart of the Franche-Comté region, the mills are exported internationally to over 80 countries.
