Peugeot Nancy pepper mill + salt mill 12 cm acrylic - steel grinder

Manual Peugeot pepper and salt mill set from the Nancy series with an acrylic body and a height of 12 cm.

The pepper mill is equipped with the classic hardened steel grinding mechanism and a two-stage technology. Pepper corns are first pre-cut by a helix-shaped double row, then ground. This process ensures a perfect grinding result and releases all the flavors of the pepper.

The salt mill is equipped with the classic grinding mechanism made of a specially corrosion-protected stainless steel. The shape is specially adapted to reduce salt grains to fine powder. Please note that this mill should only be used for dry salt. For salt with a high residual moisture, such as most sea salts, special salt mills with a ceramic grinding mechanism are necessary.

The grinding degree can be adjusted continuously via the head screw. If the head screw is tightened strongly, the grinding result is fine. The looser the screw, the coarser the grinding result.

You can distinguish the Peugeot pepper and salt mills by a black ring for pepper, or a white ring for salt on the head screw. In addition, the ring around the grinding mechanism at the base of the mill is color-coded: black for pepper and white for salt. This is not unimportant, as the pepper and salt grinding mechanisms differ from each other and are precisely tailored to their respective use.

All Peugeot mills are already half-filled when delivered, as no mill leaves the factory in France without prior functional testing. Refilling is easy by unscrewing the top head.
