Details
Once again, Nesmuk sets new standards. The Nesmuk Soul steak and table knife is forged from a special nitrogen-refined knife steel. This unique alloy makes the steel extremely resistant to corrosion. At the same time, the steel can be significantly hardened without becoming brittle. This optimized steel structure enables the classic Nesmuk sharpness combined with an unusually high hardness and an enormous edge retention. The blade with a wedge grind achieves a hardness of approximately 60 HRC.
And Nesmuk has not only optimized the steel: The straightforward geometry requires a clean cut without sawing and tearing. Only the tip is placed, and often a single pull of the blade is enough to smoothly cut through the material. This functionality is only guaranteed with an extremely sharp blade.
Blade and tang are made from a single piece of steel, giving the knife a wonderful balance. Each knife is individually completely ground and lies comfortably and securely in the hand without any disturbing edges and gaps. In this variant, the handle scales are made of finely polished bog oak. Originating from Europe, this rare wood has a black-gray coloration, sometimes also dark bluish to brownish. Subfossil oak trunks are processed, which have been lying in moors, swamps, and rivers for up to 500 years. On both sides, the handle scales are adorned with polished stainless steel bezels, with the Nesmuk bat engraved on one side.
