Details
The Exklusiv C90 chef's knife is a true Damascus knife through and through. The 18 cm long blade is made of 210 hand-forged carbon steel layers with a carbon content of 0.9% and achieves a hardness of approximately 62 HRC. The single-sided hollow grind provides the knife with an unprecedented sharpness experience in this price range. To reduce the usual maintenance effort for Damascus knives, the blade has been refined with the innovative Nesmuk Protective Coating technology (NPC). The silicon layer, only a few micrometers thin, preserves it permanently, and the blades can boast the attribute of being corrosion-resistant. Weighing approximately 130 grams (depending on the handle), the C90 chef's knife is the lightest chef's knife in the Exklusiv series. In this price range, there is no better, genuine Damascus knife.
The massive and seamless handle in this variant is made of Karelian curly birch, a type of birch native to Northern Europe. The light gray to light brown wood shows a strong, contrasting, and distinctive grain, which is created by slow growth. Karelian curly birch is a typical handle material for Scandinavian knives. The transition between the blade and handle is adorned with a ferrule made of high-gloss polished stainless steel.
The Exklusiv C90 chef's knife is delivered in a high-quality matte black box with the Nesmuk certificate of authenticity.
