Microplane Premium Classic Zester
The Premium Classic series originated from the original Classic series and was adapted with an ergonomically shaped handle to meet the needs of chefs. The series retained the characteristic wood rasp look and is considered the basis of the great success of Microplane graters.
Razor-sharp through photo-etching manufacturing process
The blades are of absolute top quality and razor-sharp due to the photo-etching manufacturing process. In short, extremely sharp cutting edges are formed by etching with a ferric chloride solution. Subsequently, the teeth are raised to create a perfect cutting angle. Unlike stamped or double-sided blades, Microplane blades behave like small knives. Food is cut precisely, not torn or crushed, and glides smoothly over the grating surface without the grated material sticking to the cutting edges. This allows flavors and tastes to develop better. For a secure stand during use, two non-slip rubber feet are attached to the end of each zester blade. Additionally, each Microplane grater includes a reusable blade cover.
A universal grater with many applications
The application area of the Microplane Premium Classic Zester is versatile. First and foremost is, of course, the zesting of citrus fruits. With proper use, you only remove the peel and leave the white underlayer on the fruits. The zester can also be used very well for garlic, ginger, spices, and even Parmesan. The Parmesan grating is very fine and blends wonderfully, for example, with the sauce or pasta. If you like to prepare risotto, the zester should be your first choice for grating Parmesan into it.
Ergonomically shaped soft-touch handle in many colors
Unlike the initial models, the Premium Classic series received a new handle. The soft-touch surface is non-slip, so even grating with wet hands is no problem at all. The ergonomic shaping fits very well in the hand and allows for precise and fatigue-free work. At the end of each handle, there is a hanging loop. And since we all wish for a colorful world, a large color palette of different handles is available. These are additionally complemented by the limited Funky Editions, which are only offered for a limited time.
