KAI Strop Set - Leather Strop & Polishing Paste

Leather & sharpening knives go hand in hand. Ever since Western movies, we know that barbers pull their razors over a leather strop before the next cowboy is up. The KAI leather strop with polishing paste didn't exist back then. Otherwise, it would surely have made an appearance in one or another film.

Leather is the perfect material to give blades the final polish after sharpening. Afterward, the edge is mirror-smooth, and the knives are extremely sharp. With the included chromium oxide polishing paste, you can also sharpen slightly dull knives. You apply it to one side of the strop, leaving the other side natural, without the polishing paste. Both leather sides are attached to a body made of thick oak wood. You can securely hold the leather strop by the handle.

Before hope arises, we must unfortunately temper expectations a bit: You won't be able to sharpen completely dull knives with the leather strop. Unless you take an immense amount of time and have two to five leather strops in reserve. Before completely dull knives make acquaintance with the leather strop, they should definitely be sharpened beforehand. However, if you use the leather regularly, you won't need the other sharpening tools as often.
