The special feature of the KAI Shun Nagare All-Purpose Knife is the dual-core blade, which is produced using an innovative forging process. The dual-core process combines the two steel types VG-10 and VG-2 into a 72-layer Damascus steel for this all-purpose knife. The combination of the flexible and resilient VG-2 steel and the particularly hard VG 10 steel results in a Rockwell hardness of 61±1. In addition to the special appearance of the 15 cm long and double-sided sharpened blade, the all-purpose knife offers long-lasting edge retention and excellent sharpness.

The ergonomically shaped handle with a length of 11.6 cm fits comfortably in the hand due to a soft, rounded design. The riveted handle scales made of grey-black mottled Pakkawood (Japanese pine), an impregnated and particularly resistant wood veneer, give the all-purpose knife warmth and value.
