KAI Seki Magoroku Red Wood Ham Knife 20 cm - Carbon 1K6 Steel Blade - Pakkawood Handle
The Seki Magoroku Red Wood ham knife features a 20 cm long blade made of stainless carbon 1K6 steel with a hardness of approximately 58 HRC. Unlike the Yanagiba, the polished blade is symmetrically ground. Filleting and carving are easy and precise with the narrow blade.
Traditionally designed in a chestnut shape, the handle is made of pakkawood. Due to high-quality resins added to the wood, the handle is particularly durable and more resistant to liquids. A ferrule made of glossy black plastic connects the handle, which tapers narrowly towards the blade, with the inserted blade. The lightweight handle creates a nice balance with the blade, allowing for effortless cutting.
The Seki Magoroku Red Wood series presents itself minimally in its basic form. Combined with Japanese aesthetics, the knives are more than visually appealing. In practice, the knives even exceed the first impression. Another example of the famous Japanese knife craftsmanship.
