Details
Can classic Japanese knives be tuned? Oh yes, they can. The Japanese knife manufacturer KAI impressively demonstrates this with the Seki Magoroku Composite series.
The quality steel VG-10 preferred by KAI is not clad in the traditional Damascus style this time, but instead features a satin-finished spine made of SUS420J2 steel. The steels are joined by an irregular copper soldering, creating a visual highlight. Light pakkawood with a tapered end completes the knives appropriately.
