Güde The Knife

The Blade and Handle of the Knife

The Knife is a breathtakingly beautiful chef's knife, forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel. The 26 cm large blade is ice-hardened, hand-sharpened, and stainless. The handle is made of dark grenadilla wood, which is, of course, not dishwasher safe.

Like the Stone Age hand axe, The Knife is also an (almost) natural extension of the human arm, making it an almost perfect tool. Firmly enclosed by the fingers, the Güde Knife The Knife, with a length of 31.5 cm and a weight of nearly half a kilo, offers perfect control. An optimal cutting result is guaranteed with this knife.

How do I hold the knife correctly?

To have an optimal grip, form a U with your thumb and index finger and securely grasp the blade of the knife. Your middle finger will be comfortably "parked" in the finely crafted indentation at the end of the blade. The remaining fingers enclose the handle made of dark grenadilla wood. The balance point of the knife is thus perfectly within the hand.

Güde Knife The Knife - the correct handling right

When cutting, it shortens the lever. The force of your hand acts vertically downward, ensuring relaxed work. Due to the grip and the centered weight of the knife within your hand, the knife almost falls into the cutting material by itself.
