Güde Alpha Barrel Oak
The production of the Alpha Barrel Oak knife series was carried out in cooperation with the Michelin-starred chef Harald Rüssel. The knives of the Güde series Alpha Barrel Oak not only cut meat and vegetables excellently, they are also. In 2007, the knife series was awarded the RED DOT DESIGN AWARD.
The blade made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel is rustproof. The hardening of the knife blade at around -80 °C ensures extreme robustness. The blade was sharpened by hand in a further 40 work steps.
The handle made of over 80-year-old oak wood is not dishwasher safe. The old oak wood is obtained from the stave wood of old wine barrels and is almost indestructible due to the long maturation. A long lifespan of the handles is thus guaranteed.
