Güde Alpha Olive Tomato Knife 13 cm with Serrated Edge - CVM Knife Steel - Olive Wood Handle Scales
The tomato knife is a larding and garnishing knife with a fine serrated edge. Especially ripe, soft vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes can be easily cut with this knife, if you do not have a well-sharpened knife at hand.
The Alpha Olive tomato knife has a 13 cm long, narrow & pointed blade made of rust-free and hand-sharpened chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. In addition, a fine serrated edge is ground into one side of the blade.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, provides a counterweight to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special blend of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the rust-free blades a hardness of approx. 58 HRC, making them particularly robust and durable.
The finely polished handle scales made of up to 500-year-old, selected olive wood are embedded in the steel and triple riveted. The very hard & resistant wood has a strong, elegant grain.
