Güde Alpha Barrel Oak Herb Knife Shark 14 cm - CVM Knife Steel - Handle Scales Wine Barrel Oak Wood
Chopping herbs with a rocking knife can be cumbersome, as no hand is free to hold the herbs in place. With the Shark herb knife from Güde, you can chop herbs one-handed and fix them with the other hand. But please don't ask us why the knife is called Shark.
The Alpha Barrel Oak Shark herb knife has a 14 cm long, wide and very curved blade made of rust-free and hand-sharpened chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. The curved blade can be rocked back and forth. Cutting herbs, onions, garlic and much more, even in waltz rhythm if you like.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the blade tip to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, provides a counterweight to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special blend of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual work steps give the rust-free blades with a hardness of approx. 58 HRC a special robustness and durability.
The finely polished handle scales made from the oak wood of over 80-year-old wine barrels, called barrel staves, are embedded in the steel and triple riveted. Due to the long maturation, the coarsely structured wood is extremely hard and almost indestructible. The Alpha Barrel Oak series was created in collaboration with the Michelin-starred chef Harald Rüssel and his wife Ruth. Harald Rüssel's signature can be found as a laser engraving on each blade.
