Güde Alpha Barrel Oak Meat Fork 18 cm - CVM Knife Steel - Handle Scales Wine Barrel Oak Wood
Larger pieces are difficult to lift with tongs, for that you need a meat fork. With the sharpened prongs, you can skewer the meat and easily carry/lift/hoist it to the desired place.
The Alpha Barrel Oak meat fork has 18 cm long, sharpened prongs made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. The high-quality steel was used to prevent the prongs from bending when lifting and to keep them permanently sharp.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, provides a counterweight to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special blend of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual work steps give the stainless blades with a hardness of approx. 58 HRC a special robustness and durability.
The finely polished handle scales made from the oak wood of over 80-year-old wine barrels, called barrel staves, are embedded in the steel and triple riveted. Due to the long maturation, the coarsely structured wood is extremely hard and almost indestructible. The Alpha Barrel Oak series was created in collaboration with the Michelin-starred chef Harald Rüssel and his wife Ruth. Harald Rüssel's signature can be found as a laser engraving on each blade.
