Güde Alpha Pear Tomato Knife 13 cm with Serrated Edge - CVM Knife Steel - Pear Wood Handle Scales
The tomato knife is a paring & garnishing knife with a fine serrated edge. Ripe, soft vegetables and fruits, such as tomatoes, can be easily cut with this knife if you don't have a well-sharpened knife at hand.
The large tomato knife has a 13 cm long, narrow, and pointed blade made of stainless, hand-ground chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. Additionally, a fine serrated edge is ground on one side of the blade.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, acts as a counterbalance to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special mix of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the stainless blades, with a hardness of approximately 58 HRC, exceptional robustness and longevity.
The finely polished handle scales made of pear wood are embedded in the steel and triple-riveted. Pear wood is extremely hard with a finely structured, velvety grain. The Alpha Pear series was launched on the occasion of Güde's inclusion by the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe, Germany section, into the circle of Preferred Suppliers. The association's logo is engraved in the double bolster.
