Güde Alpha Pear Chef's Knife 26 cm - CVM Knife Steel - Pear Wood Handle Scales
Nothing, absolutely nothing is more important than a decent chef's knife. No matter what requirements may come, with a chef's knife you can tackle almost all cutting tasks. Admittedly: sometimes quite easy, sometimes difficult and sometimes very complicated. But in the end, somehow it works with the chef's knife. Because a good chef's knife is MacGyver and Chuck Norris in one tool.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the blade tip to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, provides a counterweight to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special blend of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the stainless blades with a hardness of approx. 58 HRC a special robustness and longevity.
The finely polished handle scales made of pear wood are embedded in the steel and triple riveted. Pear wood is extremely hard with a finely structured, velvety grain. The Alpha Pear series was launched on the occasion of Güde's admission by the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, Germany section, into the circle of Preferred Suppliers. The logo of the association is engraved in the double bolster.
