Güde Alpha Pear Vegetable Knife 9 cm - CVM Knife Steel - Handle Scales Pear Wood
Chopping vegetables and fruit is enjoyable. Well, not for everyone. However, the joy over the result is usually all the greater. And with a decent vegetable knife, it's not such a big ordeal.
The Alpha Pear vegetable knife has a 9 cm long, almost straight blade made of stainless & hand-sharpened chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. So it's perfectly suited for all those precise fine tasks where long blades are too long.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, acts as a counterbalance to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special mix of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the stainless blades a special robustness and durability with a hardness of about 58 HRC.
The finely polished handle scales made of pear wood are embedded in the steel and triple-riveted. Pear wood is extremely hard with a finely structured, velvety grain. The Alpha Pear series was launched on the occasion of Güde's admission by the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, Germany section, into the circle of Preferred Suppliers. The association's logo is engraved in the double bolster.
