de Buyer Prima Matera – induction-compatible copper cookware

The "de Buyer Prima Matera" series made of copper is among the best cookware in the world. International star chefs swear by these professional products "made in France," as do experts and neutral testing institutions. The Prima Matera pots, pans, saucepans, and sauté pans impress with their excellent thermal conductivity and the resulting precise "operability." This allows the desired frying temperature to be reached and maintained very accurately – an ideal prerequisite for demanding preparation processes. Because "cooking to the point" is a key requirement that high-end gastronomy places on professional cookware.

Two-millimeter thick walls made of copper with a thin layer of stainless steel on the inside offer perfectly even heat conduction and temperature distribution. This composition of 90% copper, 10% stainless steel, and a ferromagnetic base ensures outstanding, consistent cooking results on all types of stoves. This makes the cooking process extremely homogeneous. And not just at the bottom of the pot, but also on the side walls.

Keyword "ferromagnetic": Since copper is not magnetic, conventional copper pots cannot be used on induction cooktops. To utilize the advantages of copper cookware on induction stoves, magnetic stainless steel is applied to the bottom of the pots in the de Buyer Prima Matera series. This base then heats up and transfers the energy to the pot without loss.
