Details
The Prima series from de Buyer is one, if not the absolute highlight! The copper body heats up quickly & evenly and also scores with very good heat retention. Since copper becomes a bit softer when heated and also reacts with food, you will find a thin layer (0.2 mm) of stainless steel inside. This robust layer protects the copper and ensures perfect hygiene.
Copper is not magnetic and therefore not really suitable for induction fields. The Prima Matera series solves this problem with a magnetic base plate, making the cookware also excellent for use on induction.
