The extra large farmer's pan has a diameter of 32 cm at the top edge, a contact surface of 23 cm and a height of 9 cm. Because of its high edge, this pan is also often called a sauteuse, or in German a braising or swivel pan. And that also describes its primary purpose.
The pan is made of forged iron with a wall thickness of 2.5 mm, heats up quickly and reaches high temperatures. Suitable for all types of stoves including induction. For dishes that should be fried crispy and crunchy, iron pans are the perfect choice. After seasoning, a dark patina forms on the surface, which intensifies with each use and functions like a natural non-stick coating. The more often you use the pan, the better the result.
