de Buyer Milady

de Buyer Milady

No, the Milady de Buyer series is not exclusively created for women, although the name suggests it. The cookware will impress both men and the true heroes in the kitchen: the women who stand in the kitchen day in and day out, spoiling us with their cooking skills. At this point, a heartfelt "Thank you" is in order.

The "Grand Dame" of de Buyer

The name Milady is a tribute to Milady Odette de Buyer Mineure. The strong woman behind a strong man who played a significant role in directing de Buyer's fortunes during World War II. Her passion for cooking and demands for cookware are still a benchmark and inspiration in the de Buyer household. We find this exciting and didn't want to withhold it from you.

Stainless Steel Body

Enough about the background, now let's get into the details. The body of the Milady de Buyer series is made of 0.6-0.8 mm thick stainless steel, with a matte finish on the inside and a polished high-gloss finish on the outside. The material thickness gives the cookware extraordinary robustness and prevents deformation. Each product is equipped with a pouring rim that ensures easy and (almost always) drip-free pouring of liquids.

Grandiose Heat Conduction Thanks to 7 mm Thick Sandwich Bottom

When it comes to heating and heat conduction, this cookware is at the forefront. The 7 mm thick sandwich bottom made of pure aluminum ensures quick and high heating. The cookware is also a perfect choice for induction cooktops thanks to the magnetic base plate.

New Design Stainless Steel Casting Handles

The riveted handle and handle grips made of stainless steel casting are now used in almost all de Buyer cookware series. Thanks to the ergonomic shaping, all handles can be gripped securely and comfortably. The handle grips only heat up very close to the body. You can easily see how far forward you can grip the handle by the handle grooves on the underside. The handle grips are generously sized and only heat up slightly. In our opinion (and we are a bit picky in this regard), you can take the pots off the stove and move them without fear of hot handles.

Stylish Glass Lids with Stainless Steel Knob

The matching lids are also very beautiful and stylish. Made of safety glass set in a stainless steel ring and equipped with a steam vent, they allow you to see inside the pot. The screwed-on lid knob is made of stainless steel and is also decorated with the de Buyer logo. The lids are universally applicable and fit all cookware with the same diameter.

Small but Fine Selection

The range is manageable with ten items, but completely sufficient. You can choose between four saucepans with a diameter of 14 to 20 cm. For the roasting pots, sizes from 20 to 28 cm in diameter are available. In addition, there are two high pans with 24 or 28 cm and a conical sauté pan with a diameter of 24 cm. Perfect!

De Buyer could not have honored the Grande Dame better, she would have been truly proud. And we are once again very impressed.
