The Choc Extreme pans and pots from the French manufacturer are extremely good. We don't just say that; it's because these pans have served us well for years. To be precise, a pan from this series lasted 10 years before we had it re-coated.

The body is made from die-cast aluminum. In this process, aluminum is pressed into shape under high pressure, achieving a high density. The result is extreme stability and strength. Since aluminum is an excellent heat conductor, the entire cookware heats up quickly and, most importantly, evenly. Additionally, the dense material retains heat very well.

However, aluminum reacts with food. Therefore, the entire body is enclosed with a reinforced and truly extremely robust non-stick coating based on PTFE, oven-safe up to 250 degrees Celsius! Little to no liquid or fat is needed for cooking. Nevertheless, the food can be easily released and hardly sticks. In our opinion, the Choc Extreme non-stick coating is among the best coatings currently available. This is also confirmed in daily use in our store and at home.

The riveted handle is made from ergonomically shaped stainless steel casting or a stainless steel hollow handle. It only warms slightly, but does not overheat. For pots and sauté pans with loop handles, the body and handle are made from one piece. We don't want to mislead you: these handles get quite warm, if not hot. So, keep a potholder or towel ready.

Speaking of rivets. If there is any weak point in the Choc Extreme series, it would be the rivets. Don't worry, they won't come loose. However, the protective coating on the rivets will come off after some time, exposing the bare steel. But you don't need to worry about that. The function of the pan or the non-stick coating is not affected at all. We just wanted to mention it so you don't get surprised or annoyed.

The base of the Choc Extreme series, reinforced with magnetic steel, allows use on all types of stoves, including induction, without deforming at high temperatures. You can also clean the Choc Extreme series in the dishwasher. However, as usual, we recommend hand washing. It's faster anyway and extends the lifespan of your cookware many times over.
