Blockwerk Knife Blocks
Extraordinary knife blocks made of noble woods such as oak, smoked oak, and walnut are created in the Blockwerk Manufaktur. Each knife block is a design object and a unique piece. The Blockwerk knife blocks are crafted by Marcel Palme and Jens Zander in their own manufactory in Rödermark near Frankfurt am Main.
Butch has found a kindred spirit in Blockwerk. This brand and its makers possess a similarly angular charm. They have a clear view of things and are proud of what they do every day: "It is a gift to be able to build something that other people like so much that they want to take it home" - as quoted on the Blockwerk homepage.
Four models to choose from
Having choices can be overwhelming, but not with Blockwerk. You just need to decide how many knives you want to store in your knife block. This already narrows down your options. Then, choose your favorite wood and maybe a base that matches your knives and/or kitchen. It's not that difficult, is it?

Strong internal magnets
All knife blocks are equipped with invisible internal magnets. The strong magnets are not continuous, but arranged individually. This way, each knife has its own place and the blades do not damage each other.
Heavy steel bases
All blocks also have extra heavy steel bases that guarantee a secure stand. The knife blocks do not wobble and certainly do not fall over. The high weight also allows you to remove the knives with one hand. And that is truly not a matter of course, but incredibly practical.
Give Blockwerk a prize!
The Blockwerk team should actually be showered with awards. However, boasting is not Blockwerk's style. Instead, the gentlemen quietly and diligently work on their blocks. For example, the Monolith knife block alone took over a year of development time. The beautiful thing is that you cannot tell by looking at the blocks. They stand there so naturally, confidently, and unpretentiously. Nevertheless, we consider each block to be a true work of art.
Blockwerk knife blocks are not mass-produced, but rather carefully handcrafted individual pieces, because each block is a unique piece due to its individual wood grain and has corresponding recognition value. Incredibly practical and simply beautiful!
