The ITN non-stick coating for pans and pots
Sustainability: Not new territory for Butch
Sustainability is one of the most important topics of our time. Our planet has limited resources that we should use carefully. For Butch, sustainability is not just a trendy topic, but a real concern for a long time. We rely on professional products of high quality and durability for good reason. This way, you will enjoy your cooking utensils and kitchen appliances purchased from us for a long time - provided you take care of them properly. In addition, we provide you with tips and tricks through our newsletter, magazine, and social media channels, which can further extend the lifespan of your kitchen tools.
ITN Pan Coatings – a partner company of Butch
A concrete measure for more sustainability is the long-standing cooperation between Butch and ITN Pan Coatings from Saarland. ITN is a leading company in the field of non-stick coatings of all kinds for industry. Well-known brands are among ITN's satisfied customer base. In addition, ITN takes a pioneering role in the re-coating of used non-stick pans.
The ITN re-coating
At ITN, the old non-stick coating of the pan is not simply repaired or touched up, but completely renewed. The worn coating, including any frying traces, is completely removed by sandblasting. Then a new PTFE-based non-stick coating is applied and baked at temperatures of up to 420° C. The new coating is of course approved for contact with food and FDA certified. Almost all pans and pots can be re-coated in this way.
And this is how it works:
Simply drop off the pans and pots for re-coating at our store. Plastic or wooden handles must be removed beforehand, as these materials would not withstand the high temperatures during baking. Done! Because we take care of the rest. After about 3 - 4 weeks, the pans or pots will be returned to our store with the new coating and ready for you to pick up. As soon as they arrive, you will receive a notification from us.
If you do not live near our store in Düsseldorf, you can also send the pans directly to ITN. You can find all the information and further facts about the re-coating at the link https://pfannenbeschichtung.de.

If you are unsure whether your pan is made of stainless steel or aluminum, a look at the outer wall usually helps: if it is silver, it is usually a stainless steel pan. A black outer wall, on the other hand, indicates an aluminum or cast aluminum pan. The same applies to pots and woks. Otherwise, we are happy to make the "diagnosis" for you in our store.
Before / After
