Nesmuk Exclusive C100 Damascus Chef's Knife 18 cm - Olive Wood Handle

The Nesmuk Exklusiv C100 chef's knife sets the standard for authentic Damascus knives. The 18 cm long blade is hand-forged in a wild Damascus style from 240 layers of different types of steel that are perfectly matched to each other. The carbon content of the steel mixture is 1.0%, and the hardness is approximately 63 HRC. A double-sided hollow grind reduces food adhesion and allows the knife to glide through the food. To reduce the usual maintenance required for Damascus knives, the blade has been refined with the innovative Nesmuk Protective Coating (NPC) coating technology. The only a few micrometers thin layer of silicon preserves the blade permanently, and the knives can boast the attribute of being corrosion-resistant. The C100 chef's knife is an absolutely impressive knife in terms of appearance, handling, and cutting performance. The massive and seamless handle in this version is made of olive wood. Originating from southern Europe, the wood has a particularly spectacular grain: light brown to golden yellow, wildly streaked with dark stripes. To maintain the pleasant soft feel of the wood, the handles are intentionally not polished. The transition between the blade and handle is adorned with a ferrule made of highly polished stainless steel.
