Details
The KAI chopping block is made entirely of oak end grain. With end grain, you cut into the fiber and not across the fiber as with long grain. This allows the board to regenerate from the cut with proper care and not too much force. Therefore, chopping blocks are always more resistant to cuts than regular cutting boards and are also suitable for chopping. Of course, the board is also more than excellent for regular cutting. Especially with very sharp knives.
The KAI chopping block is made from the wood of Central European oak. The cutting surface is 39 x 26.2 cm in size and the board is 5 cm thick. If the cuts are too deep, the board can be given to a carpenter and sanded down. Four non-slip rubber feet ensure a secure stand and safe working.
