Details

Alchimy from the French manufacturer de Buyer is the high-speed series in the multi-layer material sector. Designed for the gastronomy, the multi-layer material made of stainless steel with an aluminum core heats up incredibly quickly and evenly, on every type of stove and of course also on domestic stoves. In addition, the brushed surface is very resistant.

Speed usually comes with a trade-off, in this case it's heat storage. It is slightly shorter than with the other series from de Buyer. For us, this is not a big deal at all, it's not noticeable without measuring devices. We just wanted to mention it. In addition, the handle grips (not the stem grips) made of stainless steel do not have a thermal bridge. So, you might need a torchon nearby.
