Ingredients for Apple Rhubarb Crumble
- Rhubarb
- Sugar
- Apples
- Cinnamon
- Lemon juice
- Butter
- Flour
- Almond flour
- Cookies
Step 1: Prepare the grill
Prepare the grill for indirect grilling at about 200 degrees Celsius.
Step 2: Prepare the rhubarb and apples
Cut the rhubarb into thin strips and cook for about 5 minutes, adding 2 tablespoons of sugar to the boiling water. After draining, let the rhubarb cool. Then peel the apples, remove the core, and cut into small cubes. Add the apples to a bowl and mix in cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and lemon juice. Stir and cover, then place in the refrigerator.
Step 3: Prepare the crumble
Put the cookies in a bowl and crush them. Then add flour, almond flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and butter, and mix everything together with your fingers to form a crumble dough.
Step 4: Assemble the apple rhubarb crumble
Prepare 4 small baking dishes and place the apples and then the rhubarb in them. Simply sprinkle the crumble over the top and everything is ready for the grill.
Step 5: Grill the apple rhubarb crumble
Now just place the baking dishes on the grill and grill indirectly at 200 degrees Celsius for 60 minutes. Homemade whipped cream is the perfect accompaniment.
