All-Clad

All-Clad | Handcrafted in U.S.A.

The cookware brand All-Clad truly evokes emotions. It's no wonder that this American label is considered one of the best brands worldwide, found in the kitchens of top gastronomy. The pots, pans, sauté pans, and saucepans from All-Clad are perfectly crafted, have exceptional heat conductivity, extreme durability, and a subtly sovereign look.

In the 1960s, metallurgist John Ulam developed a novel process in Canonsburg, USA to bond different metals together. The so-called "roll bonding process" was first used in other industries such as coin production. To make clever use of the multi-layered material, Ulam made pots and pans out of it. Since 1973, this cookware has been sold under the All-Clad brand. Initially, the main customers were in the gastronomy industry, but this American top brand has increasingly impressed hobby cooks in Germany.

The All-Clad Stainless Steel Series d3 is three-layered: the inner wall is made of satin-finished 18/10 stainless steel, the core is made of aluminum, and the outer wall is made of ferromagnetic stainless steel. Aluminum is a highly heat-conductive material, which heats up pots and pans quickly and evenly. The inner layer of stainless steel is important because direct contact between food and aluminum should be avoided. The outer wall of magnetic stainless steel allows this cookware to be used on induction cooktops. The three-layer construction runs completely through the article, from the bottom to the edge. This not only heats the food from the bottom but also surrounds it with heat. This results in optimal cooking results. In addition, the All-Clad d3 collection quickly responds to changes in temperature, i.e., heat supply or reduction. This is important because a perfect result on the stove is possible only when the cookware behaves as the cook expects it to, whether professional or hobby cook.

The core business is gastronomy

The core business of All-Clad, like de Buyer 1830, is gastronomy. Therefore, the brand is not yet widely known in private households in this country. However, All-Clad has already gained a large following in professional kitchens. Renowned chefs such as Stefan Steinheuer, Tim Raue, Heiko Antoniewicz, Holger Bodendorf and many more swear by this cooking tool. It is clear that this extraordinary cookware is also increasingly finding its way into the kitchens of passionate hobby chefs.

The secret of success is the pursuit of perfection

John Ulam developed the so-called roll-bonding process in Canonsburg in the late 1960s. With the help of this very elaborate manufacturing process, different metals and alloys could be permanently bonded together. With the acquisition of the company in 1988 by Sam Michaels, the cookware was developed with the utmost care. Every single material thickness, every rivet, every curve, everything has been planned and perfected down to the last detail. The goal was and is to develop a qualitatively absolutely high-quality cookware. Mission accomplished!

Cookware made entirely of multi-layer material

The All-Clad cookware of the d3 Stainless series is 3-layered, 5-layered in the d5 Stainless and Copper Core series.

d3 Stainless:

Three-layer construction in the d3 Stainless series

d5 Stainless:

Five-layer construction in the d5 Stainless series

Copper Core:

Five-layer construction in the Copper Core series

The inner core consists of a highly heat-conductive material such as copper or aluminum. Thanks to this core, the cookware heats up very quickly and evenly. The inner walls are made of satin-finished, robust and hygienic 18/10 stainless steel, while the outer walls are made of polished, magnetic stainless steel. This makes the cookware shine on both induction and conventional stoves, in the truest sense of the word.

Riveted Handles Made of Stainless Steel Casting

Even with prolonged cooking and frying, they only heat up slightly and always remain graspable, even without gloves or cloths. The handle grips are not necessarily hand flatterers, however, due to their special shape, incorrect gripping is excluded.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

All pots, pans, sauté pans & saucepans are oven safe up to 400 degrees Celsius, or 200 degrees Celsius for pans with non-stick coating. Of course, the cookware is dishwasher safe, but - and here we agree with All-Clad's recommendation - the lifespan of your cookware, especially items with non-stick coating, is extended many times over if it is hand washed. With All-Clad, this means almost a lifetime. Therefore, a limited lifetime warranty is also granted on the products.

The warranty conditions are as follows:

- From the date of purchase, All-Clad grants the warranty to repair or replace any pan and pot in which material, design or processing errors have occurred despite proper use and observance of the instructions.
- This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse or incorrect use, as well as damage to the non-stick seal on coated items.
- Minor manufacturing differences and slight color deviations are normal

The Extensive All-Clad Range

The All-Clad range includes pots, saucepans, uncoated and non-stick pans, sauté pans and wok pans. The d3 Stainless series is the series with the largest selection. All important diameters are available, even if they always deviate a little from the common European sizes. The saucepans and pots are each offered in two different heights and accordingly with different capacities.

Butch says: A great cookware that is second to none, increases the joy of cooking and drives culinary excellence. And if you don't feel like cooking, you can simply enjoy the simple but wonderful look.
